ผลงานชิ้นใหม่จาก Disneynature ที่ผลิตหนังแนวสารคดีติดตามชีวิตจริงของหมี แล้วนำมาตัดต่อรวมกันให้เป็นหนังหนึ่งเรื่อง เรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับครอบครัวหมี ที่มีแม่ และลูกน้อย 2 ตัว เริ่มถ่ายติดตามชีวิตลูกหมีตั้งแต่ แรกเกิด จนถึงออกมาใช้ชีวิตในโลกภายนอก การผจญภัยกับแม่ การเอาตัวรอดจากสัตว์ต่าง ๆ การหาอาหาร ช่วงเวลาแห่งความสนุก และจะได้เห็นความรักของแม่หมีทีปกป้องลูกหมีอย่างดี เมื่อฤดูกาลเปลี่ยนผ่านไป จากฤดูใบไม้ผลิ เข้าสู่หน้าร้อน เหล่าหมีสีน้ำตาลก็ยังคงต้องหา อาหารกันอย่างขะมักเขม้น และยังได้เห็นชีวิตสัตว์อื่น ๆ ในอลาสก้าด้วย เช่น ปลา และหมาป่า เป็นต้น หนังเรื่องนี้กำกับโดย อแลสแตร์ ฟอเธอร์กิลล์ (Alastair Fothergill) และ คีธ โชลีย์ (Keith Scholey)

Filmmakers Alastair Fothergill and Keith Scholey chronicle a year in the lives of an Alaskan brown bear named Sky and her cubs, Scout and Amber. Their saga begins as the bears emerge from hibernation at the end of winter. As time passes, the bear family must work together to find food and stay safe from other predators, especially other bears. Although their world is exciting, it is also risky, and the cubs' survival hinges on family togetherness.
