จากนิยายขายดีของ Stephen King ได้กลายมาเป็นซีรี่ย์แนว Science Fiction Horror ในชื่อเดียวกันว่า Under the Dome เรื่องราวที่เริ่มต้นจากเมืองเล็กๆที่เงียบสงบชื่อว่า Chester’s Mill ซึ่งได้ถูกตัดออกจากโลกภายนอกด้วยโดมที่โปร่งใสครอบเมืองไว้ ไม่มีใครหรือสิ่งใดสามารถจะเข้าออกผ่านทะลุโดมนี้ไปได้ ชาวเมืองต่างวิตกต่อสิ่งที่พวกเขาไม่รู้ว่ามันคืออะไร และจะเป็นอย่างนี้ไปอีกนานแค่ไหน หนทางที่จะรอดคือต้องพึ่งตัวเอง เพราะไม่มีใครจะช่วยพวกเขาได้แม้กระทั้งได้ยินเสียงพวกเขา

An invisible and mysterious force field descends upon a small fictional town in the United States, trapping residents inside, cut off from the rest of civilization. The trapped townsfolk must discover the secrets and purpose of the "dome" and its origins, while coming to learn more than they ever knew about each other.
